I challenged everyone to perform an act of kindness the other day and I got to witness an act of kindness that day that I will never forget.
Most of us did not plan on the major rainstorm that hit downtown an hour before the graduation I was attending. We thought it would rain a little and then go away. Instead it turned into a down pour with thunder and lightning that lasted for hours. We lucked out and were able to walk from the parking lot to the building when the rain was just light so we didn’t get too wet. Others were not so lucky and by the time they got to the building they were drenched and I felt so bad for them. I watched a woman with a large black and white umbrella go rushing out into the storm and cover some people with her umbrella and walk with them back to the doors. I thought at first they must have been family and she was being nice to help cover them. But, then I watched her go out again and again and again rescuing people with her umbrella. She would stand by the door and watch and when she saw someone she would run out to them, sometimes clear down the sidewalk in an effort to help cover them with her umbrella. It couldn’t have been easy because she was in a dress and high heels and it was cold and it was a major cloud burst, but, she continued to do it over and over again without any regard for herself. It may have seemed like such a little and simple thing to do, but, I saw it as a HUGE random act of kindness. She truly was serving Heavenly Father as she lovingly protected his children from the rain with her umbrella. My hope is to one day be like the umbrella lady 
Matt. 25:40 Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
