A Precious Gift--Never Forget Janessa & Hope Abigail

The mention of my daughter's name may bring tears to my eyes, but it never fails to bring music to my ears. If you really want to show me that you care, let me hear the beautiful music of her name. It soothes my broken heart and sings to my soul.

"If you know someone who has lost a child, and you're afraid to mention them because you think you might make them sad by reminding them that they died--you're not reminding them. They didn't forget they died.

What you're reminding them of is that you remembered that they lived, and that is a great gift."

Hope Abigail's 4th Angel Birthday Love Bubbles

This morning we decided to do our annual hike up Ensign Peak in memory of my little angel Hope Abigail and in remembrance of my friends little angel River Daniel.  Usually we hike this the 1st week in May when it is closer to Hope's Angel Birthday and it usually ends up being on the day that River's parents do a ride and walk rally in memory of him, but, this year we decided to walk it a month early.

As we set off this year I was a little surprised to find a face book 1 year ago memory post--last year on this date I posted about Jason's 6 month angel birthday, and then it hit me that today was the 10th and it is his 1/2 birthday.  On the drive up to the hike I quickly knit a little blue hat in remembrance of him.  I loved doing that--I haven't knit hats in about 6 months and it was so calming and relaxing.  The weather was perfect.  It was really busy on the hike so that was kind of disappointing because we kind of wanted it to ourselves, but, most people don't spend very long at the top of the peak so we did get some time by ourselves.  It was fun to take pictures of the angel bears.

This year I left another pinwheel with Hope's name on it and we spelled out Hope's name in sea shells and left 4 little bears and the little knit hat I made in memory of Jason.  The top of this peak has kind of become another little remembrance spot for me that I like to leave things at.  Then we blew bubbles off the hillside as birthday balloons for Hope, Jason, and River.  If you have never blown bubbles off a mountain peak--you have to try it--it is so much fun and it looks so beautiful to fill the air with love bubbles!  I got a "Hug From Heaven on the way down because there was a lady bug (my symbol for Hope) on the trail. <3 <3 <3 <3

Easter Angel Tree Lights

Dear Angel Children on this Easter we shine these lights to Heaven to let you know that

We Love You,

We Miss You,

and We will Always Remember You <3

Easter Sunrise

I got up early this morning to watch the sunrise for Easter.  I love watching the sunrise, but, on Easter it has special meaning to me as I watch the darkness flee and the beautiful sun and light rise over the mountains.  To me it symbolizes my belief that because of Jesus Christ's sacrifice that one day the darkness and agony that I feel being separated from my angel babies will one day flee and I will feel the joy and light of seeing my babies again.  Can not wait until that day.

Usually I just watch the sunrise by myself, but, today I invited my family to watch it with me and it was a wonderful experience.  I was a little worried that we might not see much of a sunrise because it was really cloudy, but, it was BEAUTIFUL!!  Especially seeing that the first area of my yard to feel the suns first rays were the Easter Angel Tree and my Remembrance Garden. :`)

Easter 2015

This Easter holiday is somewhat of a trigger for me because it is happening the same time of the year as in 2010 when my due date for Janessa was.  I was due 4/04/2010 which was in my church General Conference weekend and Easter Sunday.  I remember being pregnant with Janessa and dreaming about how neat it would be for her to be born on Easter Sunday.  Instead she was born 4 weeks early and that Easter Sunday was a terrible day for me to get through.  This year the 4th is on a Saturday so it isn't exactly the same day which I am glad, but, it is still the same weekend and that is going to be hard.

Easter should bring me peace and hope and joy that because of Jesus Christ I will get to see Janessa, Hope, Jason, and Rae Anne again and it does, but, it is always with a mixture of sadness that I am separated from them right now and it seems like an really, really, long time before I will get to see them again.

Happy Easter

Be Still and Know that I am God

Sometimes God
Calms the Storm . . .
Sometimes He let's the Storm rage
and Calms His Child.
Author Unknown

At times there appears to be no light at the tunnel's end-no dawn to break the night's darkness. . .We feel abandoned, heartbroken, alone. If you find yourself in such a situation, I plead with you to turn to our Heavenly Father in faith. He will lift you and guide you. He will not always take your afflictions from you, but He will comfort and lead you with love through whatever storm you face.
